No matter what your family constellation is, children and teens can challenge your parenting skills. Learn to navigate this ever-changing landscape. Together through guidance, support, purposeful questions, and self-discovery, we’ll work through your challenges so you can confidently embark on this journey and parent purposefully.

Learn to

  • Understand your parenting patterns and their effects
  • Identify and address behaviour struggles
  • Communicate more effectively
  • Find confidence in your approach
  • Parent purposefully

It’s never too late to incorporate a new parenting structure, whether it is a small tweak with big results or, clarity about behaviour struggles and how to manage them.

Single Parent

In the pursuit of “doing it all” sometimes a child can take the back seat. Together we awaken the parental consciousness and discover what is needed for balance, security, peace and joy in both the parent’s world, and the child’s world.

“Without family support raising children on your own is very difficult. So many things I didn’t know how to handle or what to say to my children. Janine helped me to stop and picture myself as the child and what would I want to hear and how to communicate that way. Such a blessing!”
– Jacqueline R.
“I didn’t know how to approach the topic of divorce with my children and I wasn’t comfortable talking to my family or friends. I like that talking to Janine was confidential and easy. Things were more complicated as there is a divorce happening now too. It was hard for me to ask for help but it is also the best advice I can give another father.”
– Barry A.

Separated or Divorced

Life is unpredictable day-to-day in the child’s world, with two homes, two sets of rules and uncertainty with their parent’s relationship. Together we work to ‘normalize’ your child’s environment, and create harmony in your home, without your child being caught in the middle. Learn to navigate two homes and two sets of rules, manage feelings – yours and your child’s – so they aren’t affected by adult issues, and address any feelings of guilt.

Blended Family

At times blending a family can be like a toy box filled with assorted toys of all shapes and sizes which don’t necessarily function together.  Together we, one by one, clean out the broken bits and re-organize the box so all the toys are working together. Learn how to blend two parenting styles, appreciate separate values and belief systems, settle conflicts, and define the roles of parents and step parents.

“I recently married and my kids and my husband’s kids didn’t get on well. Age difference is what I thought it was all about and that it would work itself out. I am so glad I didn’t wait for that to happen. My friend told me about Janine so I called her and let’s say it did take some work but we are now moving toward a much happier family. Thank you so much!”
– Lindsay D.

How it Works

We work together in whatever way works best for you. Whether that’s one-on-one, in an online group setting, or both, you choose the format, knowing all are confidential, supportive, and safe places to share.

ONE-ON-ONE
One-on-one coaching involves working together, just you, the parent or caregiver, and I. Together, we explore ways to overcome the issues you’re experiencing. Sessions are usually 1 hour and can be over the phone, facetime, skype or Zoom.

ONLINE GROUP COACHING
Online Group Coaching allows parents who are dealing with similar topics, ages, and circumstances to come together and openly discuss challenges and opportunities for growth. Group settings offer diverse subjects, unexpected solutions, and insight, to promote healthy, sustainable environments for children. The beauty of a group setting is knowing you are not alone. It’s a great arena for conversations to flow freely, with everyone encouraged to participate.

If you’re looking for coaching and support, I encourage you to reach out. Your first call is always complementary and gives us the opportunity to explore things further and how we can best work together.

After talking with Janine, I had a better understanding of my 8 and 11-year-old boys and why they did the things they did.  I had several questions and she helped me to answer them myself giving me clarity in my parenting style.  I realize what I say and do has a big impact on my children and I stopped getting angry with them and looked at what I was doing to create that reaction.  Thanks Janine!”
